Knights Templar Eye Foundation 2024 AAPOS Annual Meeting

This is the first year that the Knights Templar Eye Foundation has funded Travel Grants for the Children’s Eye Foundation of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS) Annual meeting that was held this past April 2024 in Austin, Texas.

 KTEF funded $75,000 which enabled 48 medical students and ophthalmology residents to attend this meeting which has a significant impact on these young professionals, enhancing their education and fostering their development into the field of pediatric ophthalmology. The experience these professionals gain by attending is invaluable, offering attendees the opportunity to engage with leading experts, participate in cutting edge workshops and network with peers and mentors.

 After years of funding other Travel Grant programs KTEF is totally committed to improving patient care with our hopes that this funding will encourage and expedite successful careers with the knowledge that they have gained at workshops held during this Annual meeting. Our major goal in this type of program is to help to establish the next generation of Pediatric Ophthalmologists.
